Walk to School Week 2021

As part of our Green Schools initiatives, we were delighted to take part in An Taisce's Walk to School Week 2021! Kilcornan National School has taken part in Walk to School week and WOW (Walk on Wednesday) for many years. However, due to our location on the busy N69, we undertook walks around the school grounds and pitches and used 'park and stride' initiatives. This was the first year that pupils were able to walk to school on our beautiful new footpath. We had a mixture of sun, rain, cold and heat but that didn't stop the pupils and parents that turned up to support this fun and healthy method of sustainable travel.
