We celebrated our love of reading in Kilcornan National School by dressing up for World Book Day. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book characters and there were prizes for the most imaginative. We were overwhelmed by the creativity of the costumes and a big thank you to parents for helping prepare their children for the day. Reading is such an important skill for pupils and enhances all areas of their literacy skills. We are making great use of our new library and reading is strongly promoted in our school. We look forward to taking part in this celebration again next year!
