Junior Infants June Update

We can’t believe we are at the end of our first year at school! We have had a super Term 3 in Junior Infants!

We have been doing lots of reading and really enjoyed our C.A.P.E.R every night. We are getting very good at creative writing and are writing lots of our own sentences and stories. Exploring magnets in Science was fun and we used rice to learn about capacity in Maths. We have been learning how to skip in P.E and really enjoy our GoNoodle movement breaks.

We explored clay in Art and were very proud of our Easter eggs and baskets we created and painted. We want to thank Ms. Mullane's class for being so helpful to us this year! They have been such good role models for us and helped us with a big Junk Art project where we made robots!! We had such fun working on this with our partners.

We took part in our first Team Limerick Clean Up and are learning how important caring for the environment is to Kilcornan National School.

Our SALF folders are filling up with photos from home and school and we look forward to continuing them with Mrs.Gleeson next year. We met Nurse Bernie and were all so brave when we had our hearing tests, sight tests and vaccinations!

This month, we went on our school tour to the Old Rectory in Croom with Mrs. Gleeson’s class. We had a fantastic day where we made cookies, saw farm animals, went orienteering and played games. We were treated to a Teddy Bear’s picnic on the school field and our teddies had a great time! We also went to the pitch to watch the football and hurling finals and look forward to our party when we finish. Ms. Balfry is so proud of us all and we have developed so much since we started. We want to wish everyone a happy and safe summer and look forward to seeing our friends again in the new school year!! Bye from Juniors!!
