In Literacy, we read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We loved this book and the characters in it. We had many laughs together reading about the funny incidents in the book. We designed wrappers for our own chocolate bar and we watched the movie once we were finished the book. This was a big highlight of the term!
We worked on Narrative writing and wrote excellent stories about A Scarecrow. We also spent time exploring characters and settings.
In Maths we explored open-ended tasks and counting activities. We loved discussing the various solutions that we came up. We alsoexplored 2-d shapes and went on a shape hunt around the school. During Maths week we played games and participated in various activities.
Music Generation is back! This has been so much fun. We learned about tempo, music symbols and beat. Thank you Chloe for visiting us every Thursday.
Earlier in the term, we celebrated International Dot Day. We listened to ‘The Dot’ story and we were so creative and used our brilliant imaginations to create our own dot art.
In Science, we learned about mini beasts and materials on our school grounds. We went on hunts to explore our school grounds and found lots of interesting information.
In P.E. we were working on athletics. We participated in various activities such as hurdles, long jump, javelin throwing and races. We were also so lucky to have football training. We are learning lots of new skills and rules of the game. Thank you Cillian and Peter for our fun training sessions.
