Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we approach the Christmas season, our classroom is buzzing with activity, excitement, and learning opportunities! Here's a glimpse into what we’ve been up to and what’s coming in the weeks ahead:
Our annual Christmas play is well underway, with students working hard on their lines, songs, and staging. Their enthusiasm is infectious, and we can’t wait to share their efforts with you. Please encourage them to practice at home and remind them to bring any costumes or props they may need. The final performance promises to be a festive highlight!
5th Class will participate in their Enrolment Mass for Confirmation. This special milestone marks the beginning of their preparation for this sacrament. It’s a wonderful opportunity for reflection and growth as they take this next step in their faith journey.
This month, both 4th and 5th Classes will enjoy trips to see some fantastic productions:
In SESE, we’re diving into the fascinating history of Christmas traditions. Pupils are learning about how celebrations have evolved over time and reflecting on their own family customs. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect the past with the present and understand the cultural significance of this festive season.
In English, we’ve been focusing on persuasive writing. Students are honing their skills by debating their stances on various topics, crafting arguments, and presenting their opinions with confidence. This has sparked lively and respectful discussions, encouraging critical thinking and articulation.
As always, thank you for your continued support. December is a busy yet rewarding time in the classroom, and your encouragement makes all the difference. We’re looking forward to finishing the term on a high note, celebrating the season, and showcasing all the hard work of our students.
Wishing you and your family a joyful and peaceful Christmas!
Warm regards,
Mr. Kavanagh
