What an end to a fantastic year we have had! It was so nice to get back to doing normal activities in school.
After Easter, we took part in the National Credit union quiz hosted on Zoom by Fergal Darcy of Today FM. Some of fifth class also joined us and there was a lot of competition during the quiz!
Both the boys and girls took part in football blitzes in Mick Neville Park in Rathkeale. We played so well as a team and showed great skill on the pitch. Thank you to Johnny Dunne for all the training he did with us throughout the year. Thank you also to Ms Balfry and the parents who brought the kids on the match days.
We were so lucky to have had the expertise of Shaun Barry for GAA skills and team building games. This was great fun- Thank you Shaun!!
6th class hosted a fantastic and fun sports day for the whole school. There were lots of activities organised including a very fun fancy dress relay! We worked very hard on the day and were all tired going home!
Linda, our amazing SNA treated us to a donut morning! They were delicious. Thank you, Linda for all your help and support throughout the year.
On the 15 June we had our school tour in UL sports and adventure centre in Killaloe. We took part in high rope climbing, team challenges, stand up paddling, sailing and canoeing. We had a super day out and luckily the sun was shining. On the way home, we stopped for some food and treats. Thank you to Mrs Wixted, Ms Quinn and Linda for accompanying us on a memorable day out.
We celebrated out 10 Green Flag in Kilcornan NS. Lily and Cathal represented our class on the committee. We had the honour of meeting Declan Hannon and in the after-noon Peter Nash brought the Liam McCarthy cup to school. We also enjoyed ice cream from the ice cream van. A day we will not forget!
To finish out our year we had a pizza party and a lovely Graduation mass celebrated by Fr Donworth. We reminisced with a slide show of memories from Junior Infants to Sixth class.
