4th and 5th Class Halloween Midterm Update

It’s been fantastic to see all of you back in school, ready for a new year of learning, growing, and making memories together. Our 4th and 5th Class students have settled in wonderfully, reconnecting with friends and diving into school life with great enthusiasm. We began the term by revisiting key topics from last year to ensure a strong foundation, setting everyone up for the exciting new material ahead.

This term was filled with engaging activities that made learning fun and interactive. For Maths Week, we enjoyed a lively maths quiz and participated in maths trails, where students applied problem-solving skills in real-world scenarios. These activities encouraged teamwork, critical thinking, and a bit of friendly competition, helping everyone approach maths with confidence.

Sports were a big highlight this term, with plenty of opportunities for students to stay active and hone their skills. The entire class took part in athletics, where they practiced running, jumping, and other track and field events. It was a great chance for everyone to improve their physical fitness, learn new techniques, and support one another. Additionally, our 4th Class students participated in a football blitz, competing against other schools in an exciting series of matches. They showed fantastic team spirit and sportsmanship, making us all proud!

We were lucky to welcome some special visitors as well. The local fire brigade came to our school, teaching valuable fire safety tips and showing the students their equipment. One of the most memorable moments was a visit from an incredible guest speaker who shared stories and artifacts from World War II, bringing history to life in a way that captivated everyone and inspired thoughtful questions.

All in all, it’s been a wonderful start to the year, filled with learning, laughter, and plenty of memorable moments. We look forward to the many adventures and achievements yet to come as we continue working and growing together. Thank you to everyone for making this term so special—here’s to a fantastic year ahead! Go raibh mile maith agaibh go léir!
