2nd Class Easter Update

It has been a great term and we’ve been busier than ever with fun learning and special events over the past few months!

A big milestone was reached as the children made their First Confession. It was a wonderful celebration. A special thank you to Fr Wrenn, Fr Dominic and Fr Vinh for their guidance and help preparing us. We are looking forward to our Communion Day in May.

In Music Generation, we have been song writing. We have been very creative and are looking forward to the end product!

In Literacy we’ve been working on Peer Writing. The children have been sharing stories and giving kind, helpful feedback to each other. We have been working on writing explanation pieces. We explored the life cycle of a dandelion and how rainbows are made.

We also celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge with great enthusiasm! We loved receiving cartaí glas for speaking Gaeilge and enjoyed learning Trasna na dTonnta. We finished the week with a Lá Glas.

In SESE we had a fun-filled Spring Hunt. The children explored the school grounds searching for signs of spring — spotting flowers, birds, and insects. It was a great way to see the changing season and get some fresh air!

In Maths we explored shape and space. We learned about tessellating shapes and created our own patterns.

Cáisc Shona Daoibh from everyone in 2nd Class!
