Fifth and Sixth Class March Update

WOW! What a busy term we have been having! On the 5th of February we took part in the DELL Robotics competition. We had such a fun day learning about other STEM projects and taking part in several robotic challenges with our robot 'The Curraghchase Crusher'.Justin, Fionn, Rory and Micheál were our designated drivers on the day. They did a super job in all the challenges. This was an amazing learning experience and we are so delighted to have taken part in it. Thanks to Ms Quinn for all her help throughout our learning experience and to Úna Murphy.

On the 8th of February we received the sacrament of Confirmation. Bishop Brendán, Fr Donworth and Fr Chris O Donnell celebrated this special day with us. This was both a special school and community day.  As a class we choose to make a charitable donation to the Butterfly Club in Rathkeale. This club does wonderful work for children with special needs and provides respite for their parents.

For all our hard work, Ms Mullane treated us to a pizza party. It was delish!

On the 2nd of March,  we took part in the Peace Proms in UL. This was a super fun day of singing and dancing. Some of the songs we learned included The 'Greatest Showman' medley and a fun Pop medley.

We had a great day out and loved learning all the songs.

6th class were busy hosting our annual Pancake Tuesday event on March 5th. Darragh, Luke, Hazel and Michaela were the chefs for the morning! We worked as a team to make this a fun day for everyone. Thanks to everyone for supporting us!

Stay tuned for more updates from our busy classroom!!
