Second Class Christmas Update

It has been a very busy time in second class since Halloween. We worked hard on subtraction in Maths and used playing cards to play some fun and educational games.

We loved taking part in Anti Bullying and Science week. We made our own lava lamps and learned how to be kinder to each other. We each had a special friend for the week that we took time to spend time with and do nice things for them.

We worked hard on persuasive writing since Halloween. We wrote letters to Santa and created our own toyshop with lots of special discounts. In Oral language we used new Christmas vocabulary and learned about healthy eating.

During our Music Generation lessons, we started learning how to play the ukulele this month, this is great fun. Thanks to Chloe and Aoibhinn for visiting us every week.

Thank you so much to the Parent’s Council for the yummy pizza and chicken. This was a great memory to have in school.

Two very special visitors came to our classroom this month. Their names are Sparkles and Jingles. They have been up to mischief but they did bring us treats for practising so well for the show.

Speaking of the show, we were amazing! We loved being on stage performing. Our play was called ‘Nativity News’ and Ciara and Emma came every week to practice with us. We did brilliant acting, singing and dancing. Ms.Mullane was so proud of us.

Thanks to everyone who comes to help us in our classroom everyday. We are looking forward to our Christmas holidays and to Santa visiting our homes.
